As a native Orlandoan, Sandra Carr has seen Central Florida grow into a metropolitan city since her childhood. While growing up in O-town, she has always had a passion for writing and music as well as having a knack for meeting bands. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio-Television, she started her writing career as a medical producer at the CBS affiliate WCPX Channel 6 (it’s now WKMG Channel 6). She also was the associate producer and arts editor of the Orlando Sentinel’s EPPY award-winning entertainment website Orlando CityBeat.com and the associate editor of Create Magazine. Carr’s main writing focuses are arts and entertainment and has interviewed celebrities, including actor Dennis Hopper and musician Cyndi Lauper, covered celebrity red-carpet events and has written about a tiki road trip throughout Florida. Her stories have been featured in Atomic Ranch magazine, Destination Hyatt, the Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Arts Magazine, Time Out Chicago, Venus Zine, Us Weekly, Winter Park Magazine and Zagat Survey.
